Kid’s Dental Experience at HPS Advanced Dental in Shelby Township

Hi, my name is Nikki Goolsby and I’m a registered Dental Hygienist here at HPS Advanced Dental Care, located in Shelby Township, Michigan.

A lot of parents that are patients at our office ask if we see kids and the answer, of course, is yes. We consider ourselves to be a family dental office and children are always welcome.

A lot of parents have expressed to me as a hygienist that their children don’t always have a positive experience at a pediatric office. Just because you have a child doesn’t automatically mean that a pediatric office is the best fit for them. So, here at our office we find it very important to allow our children to have a fun time coming to the dentist. And, most of our patients here do have a great time when they come, and that’s what it’s all about. We don’t want them to have a poor experience because that can translate into some fears in adulthood.

So we do want the parents to know, when they do bring in their child to the office, to make it a positive experience. Tell them they’re going to get their teeth sparkled and counted and let them know that they’re going to have a great time and don’t send any negative thoughts in their head.
