Shelby Township Dentist Offers Snap On Smile to Macomb County Dental Patients

Hi, I’m Dr. Heather Pranzarone Stratton at HPS Advanced Dental Care. We are a holistic dental practice located in Shelby Township, Michigan. I want to talk a little bit today about the Snap On Smile. We get a lot of questions from patients who are maybe getting married or have a wedding to go to, or a class reunion. You know, any big event in your life where you may want to have a little bit nicer smile.

But maybe getting veneers or crowns put on your teeth for cosmetic purposes may be out of your budget? Or maybe it’s not something we have time to be able to do before your big event happens. Maybe you just want to change the color or shape of your teeth. Sometimes people are missing teeth that they don’t want to be wearing necessarily a traditional partial for.

So what we can do is we can do something called the Snap On Smile. There’s a lot of different applications where we can use a Snap On Smile and the patients that we’ve done this with they’re absolutely thrilled.

So basically how a Snap On Smile works is we take impressions of your teeth. This is a patient’s teeth that is missing a couple of teeth. They didn’t like the space here in between the teeth. They thought their teeth looked a little bit short, so we were able to make a Snap On Smile for them. And I know everybody says, why is this yellower than this? This is pure white. So this was the color that the patient chose.

But basically all Snap On Smile does is it just snaps on over your teeth, and it’s that easy. So the teeth that were missing are now there on both sides. The space that was between their front 2 teeth is now gone and they have nice straight white teeth. Believe it or not, these are actually pretty white in comparison to other things. So this is a really good option for a lot of different people if they want that Hollywood smile. You can pick whatever color you want and whatever shape you want. So you can leave and literally it’s that easy to try them on. All of our patients that we’ve done this on, we put them in and they’re out the door. So just with one impression, and one appointment a couple of weeks later, getting this done is a really nice option.

There’s another way that we can do this for people who are getting dental implants done. Lots of times with dental implants they’re just missing one tooth but it’s just temporary that they’re missing the one tooth. So what we can do is we can make them a Snap On Smile. Obviously this is a whiter Snap On Smile. We can just do it for several teeth instead of the whole mouth if they were happy with the appearance. Obviously, this person has some problems going on with their teeth, but this is just an example of what it would look like if we wanted to do just a few teeth with the Snap On Smile.
