Shelby Township Dental Hygienist Discusses Ways to Prevent Cavities for Children

Hi I’m Suzy. I’m a dental hygienist at HPS Advanced Dental Care located in Shelby Township, Michigan. A lot of our dental patients keep asking us about ways to prevent cavities with their children. Dental sealants are a preventive measure that helps prevent cavities on the occlusal surfaces, the biting surface of their children’s teeth. It is a BPA-free resin that we flow in to the grooves to help seal out bacteria that can get in there without proper dental brushing and flossing.
